Juice Press Boston Blogger Launch Party in Food, Life on 05/12/16Tuesday night I had the pleasure of attending a Boston launch party for one of NYC’s dominating juice bars. Seriously, this place is a powerhouse. I’ve been to my fair share of overpriced, kinda average stores before, and Juice Press is definitely not one of them. Their juices and smoothies as well as their food are honestly phenomenal, and I love that I got to see the genuine passion this brand has behind it. Juice Press has over 50 stores in the Tri-State area and has officially set up shop at The Street in Chestnut Hill! Which is fantastic news, especially for this girl. If you’ve read other entries from my blog or taken a peak at my Instagram, you’ll see that I sure do looove my juice. And other healthy sh*t. Raw, vegan, organic, non-GMO, all some of my fave words, guys.
My Favorite Romper For Spring & Summer in Spring, Style, Summer on 05/07/16Happy May peeps! A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to collab with one of my favorite online boutiques, The Mint Julep , where I picked out this darling little romper. To be honest, I was really hoping to get in a mini photo-shoot the last time I was home in Chicago (I only have my boyfriend and family to take pictures of me who sadly aren’t at school with me in Boston!), but it was just too damn cold to wear it. So much for spring. It’s looking like some nice sunny days are on their way, and in preparation I’ve styled this bad boy in three different easy ways. I’m absolutely obsessed with the lace and the plunging neckline, and the fact that you can really dress it up or dress it down.
Customized Navy Dress Drom eShakti in Spring, Style on 04/11/16Happy Monday beautiful people. I’ve been absolutely dying to show off my latest obsession, this little navy and scalloped number from eShakti. We’ve had the craziest week of weather in both Boston and Chicago but today there is finally sunshine and it’s seeming like Spring may finally be making a more permanent appearance!
Suja Juice To The Rescue in Food on 04/06/16This sweet little surprise could not have come at a better time, I was in serious need of a midweek pick me up! I got to try three flavors from San Diego based juice company Suja. They are the fastest growing organic, cold-pressured and Non-GMO beverage company in the country, and their juices are bomb dot com, super fresh and flavorful. I cannnnot wait to get my hands on my own juicer once I graduate and move into my new apartment in June, but until then, having a few of these babies on hand is the perfect compromise. I tried out Sweet Beets, Moon Greens, and Uber Greens.
Travel Diaries: Rancho Valencia, Rancho Santa Fe, CA in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Travel on 04/02/16Wow. Now, does that or does that not look like some sort of real life jungle-zen-Buddha oasis? I was fortunate enough to spend the first half of my Easter break with my entire family, which was such a treat since my little bb sister is now off at college in SoCal and I hardly ever get to see her! After I caught a 3:30 am flight out of Boston and a connection in Houston, I landed in San Diego. We stayed in San Diego and stayed at the Rancho Valencia. And oh, was it incredible.
Get Juicy (Apple, Beet, Carrot, Ginger Juice) in Food, Recipes on 03/31/16Hey hey party people, hope your weeks are going well! One more day till Friday! Being the avid procrastinator that I am, I’m always looking for new ways to put off doing the things that I should probably be doing. Which is mostly schoolwork. Did I mention I’m a senior with less than two months until graduation? So yeaaah, you could say I’m slightly checked out. Today in the three hours I had between classes, I decided to whip up some juice. I am what you might call a juice addict, and will throw down $102903 dollars at a trendy juice bar any day without even questioning it. In fact, I wish I could have done just that but sadly there aren’t any juiceries (is that a thing?) near me.
Kicking Off Spring Like in Spring, Style, Summer on 03/24/16It’s finally that glorious time of year where we can pack away our winter coats, take out our espadrilles, and say goodbye to winter. #byeFOREVER. or ya know, until November. Although I’m currently dividing my time between Boston and Chicago and am still being forced to deal with the harsh realities on March, I was incredibly fortunate to have a little getaway to the Rancho Valencia resort in San Diego, where spring is very much in bloom. I wanted to do two separate posts and leave my hotel and restaurant reviews as well as an overall recap of my trip for another day. Today, I want to talk clothes.
Let’s Talk Oatmeal in Food, Recipes on 03/17/16Happy Friday eve to all my favorite little Internet friends! I hope your week has been filled with sunshine and sparkles. I’m just going to come out and say that mine definitely has been. Although Sring is finally making a consistent-ish appearance and I just had the most relaxing spring break ever, I believe I owe all of my ~happy vibes~ to oatmeal. The pound and pounds of oatmeal I have been consuming. Oatmeal that makes me want to go to sleep every night so morning can come faster and I can eat it. That’s, right. Oatmeal. A breakfast item I may or may not be in a committed relationship with.
Spring Break Eating Adventures in Chicago, Chicago EATS, Food, Life on 03/07/16We maaaaaaaade it #SB2k16 #puntacana Jokes, I’m definitely not currently on a tropical island with the rest of my grade guzzling down Mai Tais at 9:30 in the morning, but that’s okay! I am honestly completely content with sitting at my kitchen table, getting my much needed morning dosage of caffeine and petting my dog’s head with my foot (I think he likes it?) while my Mum suggests that my presence is somewhat of an inconvenience and that I’m actually just making a perpetual mess and eating all the food. I personally disagree, I would say I’m quite a delight to have around.
Establishing The Vibes in Life, Spring, Style on 03/03/16 Hey! Hey there! If I’m being honest, I’m pretty pumped you’re here. Even if you got here by accident, that’s totally cool too. You can read a fun short “look how quirky and funny am I” version of what I’m about to say under the “about me” page. So go there now, or don’t. Not gonna tell you how to live your life. So I’m Meghan, hey again. I’ve been posting pictures of my outfits and my food and other mundane details I come across throughout my life on Instagram for over a year and a half now, and until now, like right this very friggin second, that’s been it. No blogging, no hours spent linking pictures of my clothes to their designers through the glory that is liketoknow.it (I am obviously not important enough to do that). But I have decided to put my soon to be in existence English degree to good use. And do some writing. And talk about what I wear, where I’ve been eating, what I’ve been up to. I’m suddenly very aware of how strange the concept of blogging is- why would strangers care about what I’m doing with myself all day and how many J.Crew excursion vests I own? (4, in case you are now wondering).
