Travel Diaries: London in London, Travel on 10/12/16Hello my favorite Internet friends! I apologize that this post is way over due, (like 3 months yeeet), but this trip has been on my mind recently and I really am dying to share the pictures and itinerary info that never made it to Instagram. Looking back, this summer was seriously insane and spent all over the place. I graduated… View Post
Crazy Bout Capes in Fall, Style on 10/11/16Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! As the temperatures continue to creep on down, and I am in noo way complaining, I find myself continuously coming up with different ways to stay cozy while boppin’ around town. Sure, you can grab a jacket or a sweater or a scarf but THIS is officially my favorite way to layer up…. View Post
Grey & Lace & Burgundy Bags in Fall, Style on 09/30/16Hey guys! I’m sups excited to share this look with you today. I’ve recently started getting into the whole “high-low” outfit thing, especially now that I actually have an income and am no longer living on a glamorous student budget… I’m trying to start building my post-college wardrobe with pieces that will hopefully last me many, many years. I’m also not a crazy person and there is absolutely no need for me to be buying only expensive and overpriced things simply because they’re designer. But….. I definitely am beyond obsessed with handbags and have this insane mental wish list of all the specific styles I would love to own one day (Chloe Drew bag, LV Neverfull Tote, Prada Saffiano Tote, I’m looking at you guys.)
Fall Bucket List in Life on 09/22/16HAPPY FALL Y’ALL First and foremost, I have absolutely no shame in admitting my adoration for this time of year. It is my absolute fave and I wish this glorious sweater and booties weather could last all year round. So time to let you inner basic bitty freak flag fly. Just do it. And get some inspo from my Fall Bucket List.. AKA a bunch of cliche but totally fun things imma bout to hardcore force my boyfriend into doing with me (Sorry Fran!!)
My Skincare Essentials & Review Of YoDerm in Health & Beauty, Life on 09/17/16Hey guys! Today I’m talking about my daily skincare routine and sharing all my cannotlivewithout products. I definitely had a lot of ups and downs with my skin all throughout high school. Freshman year I started getting all of these raised, under the skin bumps on my forehead (super cute, I know), which I eventually saw a dermatologist for. I always dreaded having to go— it was just super inconvenient and annoying that I would have to make an appointment and see the doctor whenever I needed my prescription refilled. Eventually my skin cleared up as I grew older and for the past few years has been pretty hassle free. Until recently… For the past few months I’ve felt like my skin just isn’t as clear as it normally is. It’s like I’ll have perfect skin for a few days, but it’s always an indication that I’m about to majorly break out again… Which will then last what feels like weeks! It’s been a very frustrating cycle, I just haven’t been able to win! I didn’t think the problem reeeeally constituted going to a dermo… Plus now that I work full time it’s a lot harder for me to make any kind of doctor appointment without taking time off, which I don’t want to do. BUT THEN. A solution. I was reached out to from the people at the up and coming online site YoDerm (https://yoderm.com/) to try out what they do.
Striped Ruffle Blouse in Fall, Spring, Style on 09/11/16Happy September Friends!!!! Is everyone else as excited as I am for Fall?? Although it’s been really nice wearing easy fun sundresses and growing a collection of fun trendy sandals, I’ve been ready to trade it all in for boots, vests, and sweaters for a VERY long time. I recently purchased the Chloe “Medium Marcie” satchel and it has actually changed my life. It fits everything so I put everything in it… which has caused the bag to become a giant black hole and me thinking I’ve lost my iPhone approximately fifteen times a day. But, it is a very gorgeous and durable bag, can be dressed up or down, there isn’t anything it can’t do. And it’s beyond perfect for the season ahead. This outfit is currently one of my absolute faves! I am in loooove with this top. The ruffled detail and the striped navy and white cannot be beat!! Too cute. The top also features 3/4 length sleeves, which I just find oh so girly and delightful, and a criss-cross X detail on the back. It’s also super affordable, only $15.99!
Hot Pink OTS Fiesta Dress in Spring, Style, Summer on 08/31/16Guys, this dress is seriously CRAAAZAY. As soon as I got it, my sister’s comment was “ummm what even is going on over here?” Can’t say I really have an answer, this hot pink number is definitely a little all over the place but I love it. I usually gravitate towards more simple and neutral outfits but decided I’d go a little outside of my comfort zone and really go all out with this look.
Overalls Are For Saturdays in Spring, Style, Summer on 08/14/16You guys have nooo idea how good it feels to be back blogging… Although I’ve been able to keep up on Instagram, the past few weeks have been beyond insane and have kept me too busy to do any posting on this little domain of which I pay $12 a month to perpetuate its existence. It’s like there’s been this little voice constantly in the back of my head saying “bloooog me, blooog me!!” But, I’m officially a working girl, like 8-5, 5 days a week working girl. And despite going into the field of consulting, the project I’ve been assigned to is actually based in Chicago, an internal program within the company I work for. Aaaand the team predominately all work from home, so I’ve only actually been into the office a couple of times so far. Still, I’m on calls and doing random little tasks all day and in my now much treasured down time, I’m always so tired and kinda wanna do nothing… So it’s looking like keeping up with the blog may be somewhat of a challenge but I’m gonna try and do my best! I honestly love having this little creative space in my life, so at the end of the day it’s so worth it!
Dressed Up Backpack #Back2Kipling in Spring, Style, Summer on 07/28/16Hey my Internet peeps! I’m currently camped away at a gigantic conference center in ~somewhat rural~ IL for two weeks for intensive training for my new job as a technology consulting analyst. Everything’s going pretty well so far besides the long days and me having to trade in my cute fun summer clothes for corporate America business casual swag. I’m trying my best here and trying to put my spin on the standard uniform, so potential work attire blog posts to come. Also, typing this post on my work PC and not my cute little gold MacBook is making me want to chop my fingers off. Anyway. I wanted to showcase another look from my collab with Kipling USA. I am currently loving on this adorable little bebee backpack, which you know I had to clip my signature pink pom fluff monster onto.
The Perfect Summer Tote #Back2Kipling in Spring, Style, Summer on 07/19/16I’ve teamed up with Kipling USA to share this super cute and versatile tote bag with you guys. The exterior is made from nylon so it’s really durable and makes for a great beach bag, but it also has a pretty shine to it, making it sleek, fashion forward, and perfect for taking to dinner after a fun day in the sun. I love that it has a ton of interior and exterior pockets (I don’t know about you guys, but I like to carry approximately 2,348 things with me at all times). It also has a laptop sleeve inside to keep your precious technology safe and secure.
