How To Style A Tennis Skirt For Fall

I personally could not be more excited to see this hot hot HOT summer trend carry into cozy spooky season. For real, it seemed like everyone and their mom was rocking the tennis skirt look all season and it was near impossible to track one down. We can definitely thank Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram for that one! I personally believe fall outfits are the best type of outfits out there (view past fall looks of mine here), and that is a hill I will die on, so I could not be more excited for the temps to be dropping and to style this tennis skirt for the incoming fall season.

The exact skirt I am wearing is back in stock at Princess Polly and it’s quickly become one of my favorite items in my closet. There are so many ways to style a tennis skirt for fall, and I can’t wait to rock it with sweaters, boots, all the fall things. It sold out quickly last time, so definitely grab this one if you are interested in getting your hands on one. Like I said, they have been super popular and I’m still seeing them sold out at most retailers. I’m wearing a size 4!

What To Wear With It

For this look, I borrowed my boyfriend’s University of Minnesota stitched letter sweatshirt (go gophs) and went for a sporty, collegiate vibe. You could wear any sweatshirt or sweater, but I recommend going for an oversized fit. Btw, oversized everything is also super in this season! I layered a white collared shirt from Madewell underneath to prep things up, threw on my favorite gold necklaces, and then paired with black combat boots and black accessories (like these rectangular sunglasses and shoulder bag). My exact boots are last year from M.Gemi, but here is a very similar pair. I love this style because they have a slight heel, great for elongating your legs, but they are still very comfortable for walking in.
