Styling Two Fall Looks With Cougar Shoes

I am SO so excited to be partnering with Cougar Shoes again and styling some looks with my two new favorite pairs of boots! These are my second and third pair of shoes from Cougar and I honestly have nothing but amazing things to say about this brand. They got me through a crazy Chicago winter last year, keeping my feet dry and warm and still looking fashionable. They have a wide range of styles— everything from hiking boots, shearling high top sneakers, ankle booties, to printed rain boots. I kid you not when I say I want everything!

Like I mentioned, Chicago winters are typically what can only be described as miserable. We get icy wind chills, temps often dipping below 10 degrees, slush, slippery sidewalks, you name it. I love Cougar because their boots are designed to tackle all the above. Their boots have sealed seams with pressurized EVA adhesive tape and an extra thermoplastic membrane to keep them waterproof and prevent leaking. Which, can I just add, is THE worst thing to experience in winter.

For the upcoming seasons, I was on the hunt for boots that could take me from fall to winter; so, nothing too heavy or anything that came across as “strictly for winter.” I had been in the market for a hiking boot style shoe to replace a pair I already had that were just too bulky and stiff. And I needed something with good traction on the soles to prevent winter wipe outs! (Keep reading for more info on the Heston, I’m wearing them in Mushroom).

I also wanted something super cozy, that I could easy to slip on and off when I was out running errands or heading to barre classes (basically, an stylish upgrade from my old, ratty UGGs!). When I first saw the Vanora boot, I knew we were meant to be. They come in two other colors (I’m wearing them in Hazel), and are just sooo après ski I can’t stand it! Gotta get out to Aspen or something to really try out these babies, eh?
