What I Pack In My Toiletries Bag When I Travel… in Health & Beauty, Life on 03/22/18In case ya missed it, I went from working from home for over a year and a half to taking two flights every week, commuting back and forth between Chicago and Detroit, every single Monday through Thursday. Although I would by no means describe myself as a traveling expert, it’s safe to say that I’m growing quickly accustomed to my new life on the road, which means nailing my Sunday night packing routine and making sure I don’t leave home without my must haves! I’ve talked about Conair’s True Glow Sonic Cleansing brush before on my blog, and I seriously didn’t think I could love it even more than I did before I started traveling. Plane cabins are notoriously harsh on your skin, and because I am flying so frequently now, it’s become even more crucial that I take care of my skin, work to combat dryness, fight against breakouts and retain my glow! On top of that, I am now dealing with newfound stress levels (work is… hard lol), which lead to breakouts (UGH), and nobody got time for that. This little brush is truly my secret powerhouse, and compliments my cleanser and moisturizer perfectly. It’s the first thing that goes in my toiletries bag! When I’m on the road, I love bringing along travel size bottles of Cetaphil’s Gentle Cleanser; it’s super mild and non-irritating, and I just need to put a tiny bit on my cleansing brush to remove all of my makeup and shake dirt from my pores. One awesome feature of the brush is that it has three different speed settings, so if my face is feeling sensitive, I’ll usually put it on the slowest speed. Herbivore’s Pink Cloud creme is such a dream; it gives you the most flawless, dewy skin, and it genuinely feels like I’m giving my skin a drink of water when I put it on! Next up on the list, Emile Cordon Cashmere-On Lip Pots, for an on the go lip treatment, and all my Clove and Hallow makeup! Their pressed mineral foundation provides crazy coverage and feels really light on my face; it only takes me about 2 min to do my makeup in the airport bathroom when I land on Mondays! Also always with me, the Mario Badescu Aloe and Rosewater facial spray; I always have this with me on the plane. It’s the perfect little hydrating pick me up when your skin is feeling dull and tight. Add in the usual toothbrush and deodorant suspects, and that’s all there is to my toiletries bag— I really don’t need to take a ton with me every week, but the holy grails better make it onto the plane or else… Knock on wood, but so far I haven’t forgotten anything yet. Time may change that, lol. You can read my full review and how this brush has helped my skin over the last couple months here; I love that the brush is affordable and accessible to all who are passionate about their skincare. True Glow was founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to high quality and high performing beauty products, just another reason why I love it so much! A big thank you to Conair for sponsoring this post; as always, all opinions are my own.
