Gift Ideas For Him

Thanksgiving is officially around the corner (where is time going?!), which means so is the season for Christmas shopping! I swear, it was juuust Halloween, and I was feeling like it was far too early to start getting into holiday mode. But, here we are people… Essentially halfway through November with 41 days to Dec. 25th! I like to get my shopping done early and out of the way; shopping with tight deadlines and the chaos of malls? Pass. I am already deep into the process, and will continue to share my finds, the best deals, as well as other fun holiday content as the weeks go on, so be sure to check back in frequently! My latest gift guide was especially fun to work on— I recruited the help of my bff/roomie/bae Francis since he knows what is uuuup when it comes to guys’ gifts (that said, if it were totally up to Fran, 99% of this list would be thermals or henley tops hahaha). I knew there was no way I could recruit him to write a full on guest post, but the list you see below is 100% boyfriend-curated; he already owns a ton of the things on this list and can vouch for how awesome everything is! I think these are all pretty universal items and there will be a little something for everyone; I would describe Francis’ style as sporty casual and laid back (he looooves sweatpants, cool sneakers, and flannels), and always styles his outfits with solid investment pieces (he recently got himself the #12 Filson jacket, and I got him the #1 Burberry watch for his 25th birthday last year). Like I mentioned, I got this for Francis’ 25th birthday last year (of course before it went on sale ugh!). His birthday is two days after Christmas and 25 means officially entering into the later half of your twenties, so I wanted to get something really special. He was absolutely ecstatic when he opened the box, and wears it essentially every day; I definitely patted myself on the back for this one! The navy face is so sharp, a little different, but definitely goes with everything; the price is soo good right now too! If you’re looking for something a little ~fancy~ with a whole lotta wow factor, this is an awesome option.

Fran assured me this was cool haha— one of those little random gadgety things that doesn’t seem too impressive but guys nonetheless seem to go gaga over. His buddy has one and they were both ooh-ing and ahh-ing over it (true story). You can get it personalized, and it basically serves as a bottle opener, can opener, screwdriver, ruler, a few types different types of wrenches, saw blade, and lanyard. I wouldn’t give this as a stand alone gift, but it would make the perfect addition to some sort of gift assortment.

Adidas Boost, $180

Francis treated himself to these bad boys a few months ago and got SO many compliments from his friends (I think technically they lovingly declared he was “not cool enough to rock shoes this dope” hahaha). I’ll admit, men’s sneaker fashion isn’t typically something I care about, but I’m a huge fan of these! I love the textured fabric and the olive green color is perfect; it goes with everything, doesn’t show dirt, and are more fun/interesting than a black or grey shoe. Fran also says they also give you a couple inches of height, which is bonus plus for any fellow 5’10”-ers!

Warby Parker Sunglasses, $95

Fran also has these! I love Warby Parker shades; they are really high quality, come in a ton of fabulous styles, and won’t break the bank. I’ve actually been known to gift boyfriends sunglasses in the past— I just feel like you can’t go wrong, everyone could always use more sunglasses!

What Do You Meme?, $29.99

I LOVE this game, as does Francis; we’ve played with a ton of our friends and it’s always a hit. It’s essentially the same concept of Cards Against Humanity; each person gets 7 cards, all of which contain popular internet memes on them. One person is the judge each round, pulls a caption card, and each player anonymously puts down the card they think is the funniest with the given caption. It’s so. Silly. And fun. And hilarious.

Yeti 20 oz Tumbler, $29.99

Yeti apparently some really crazy technology that will keep ice frozen for like a week! Insane. They come in proper size coolers, different size tumblers, and a ton of colors. Definitely would be great for anyone into outdoorsy stuff.
