Gift Ideas For Your BFF Under $100 in Gift Guides, Holiday 2017 on 11/08/17 I tried, you guys. I tried really, really hard to fight the urge to move into holiday territory… I had gone all out with my fall decor this year, had only been enjoying my bat wall decals for the last couple of weeks, and overall I just felt like it was waaay too soon to start busting out the Christmas trees. That said, the holiday season is definitely highly contagious, and I’ll admit, as soon as I started seeing people putting up trees and switching up their seasonal decor on Insta… I caught the bug, ha. What can I say. I just found the most perfect flocked tree online that I’m super excited to order, and I started scoping out cute throw pillows, candles, garlands, etc to give my apartment a little winter upgrade. I decided I might as well embrace it, throw on the Pentatonix Christmas jams, and oh yeah, get going on my gift guides! By far what I love most about this time of year, is all of the traditions I have built with my friends and family; I love going to high tea at the Peninsula, I love getting to spend time with my family in our Toronto condo, and I love getting super dressed up for Christmas dinner with my sister— we always go really all out with our party dresses haha, ever since we were little kids. Another part of the holidays I always look forward to is getting to pick out gifts for all the people in my life. I think Christmas shopping gets a bad rep as being highly stressful and overwhelming, but it definitely doesn’t have to be. I personally think online shopping is the way to go (unless you’re shopping at little boutiques and shops), just to avoid the chaos of the mall. I think the best thing to do is to plan ahead, and get your shopping done early! Each year, I have a sister gift to get, gifts for the parents, a boyfriend, and gifts for some besties; each category of gift shopping is soo different, and there are so many directions you can go in (so thank god for all the blogger gift guides out there, right? Hehe!). For my first gift guide this season, I’m sharing 20 fabulous gift ideas for you to give to your bff, all under $100. There’s a wide variety on this list and hopefully a little something for everyone! These would make for Secret Santa gifts if you’re doing one with a group of girlfriends, as well as for your sister, cousin, etc. In the next coming weeks, I will be sharing more of these gift guides focusing on all types of categories, (if you have any requests, write a comment below!), as well as writing posts on holiday/wintertime outfits, home decor, Christmastime activities to do in Chicago, and I’ll even be hosting some fun giveaways, so stay tuned for all the fun! You can always subscribe (on the side bar of my blog) to make sure you never miss a post 🙂 One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six / Seven / Eight / Nine / Ten / Eleven / Twelve / Thirteen / Fourteen / Fifteen / Sixteen / Seventeen / Eighteen / Nineteen / Twenty Some of my personal faves: 1 & 2: Williams Sonoma Peppermint Hot Chocolate & Mini Marshmallows Set $35.95 & Reindeer Mug $9.50 I absolutely love these two gifts paired together! Is that reindeer mug not the gosh darn cutest thing you’ve ever seen in your life?! You can never have too many holiday mugs. I’ve always been a fan of giving out little sweet treats over the holidays, and Williams Sonoma sells the beeeeest stuff (think peppermint barks, different kinds of hot cocoa, chocolate covered pretzels). This particular set comes with a tin of peppermint bark hot chocolate, and a box of mini marshmallows to toss in. If you wanted to take it up a notch, you could also throw in a mini bottle of Bailey’s for the perfect “make your own boozy hot chocolate” kit; put the Bailey’s in the mug, and then wrap everything together in a pretty holiday gift bag with tissue paper. 7: Goals: Life Essentials Journal $34.95 I may end up getting this for myself because it seems SO up my alley; it’s one of those journals packed with thought-provoking writing exercises, inspiring quotes, and other creative prompts. I have a bunch of journals like this; they’re extremely therapeutic, perfect for getting creative energy flowing, and overall reflecting and life planning. Perfect for anyone who loves to write 🙂 I bet this would be awesome on a long flight to pass the time! 10: DUFMOD Essential Oil Island Bamboo Diffuser $35.00 Okay, another lil something I definitely am getting for myself hehe… I recently have been all about the essential oils; I love using peppermint oil for headaches and relaxation. This little diffuser is super stylin’ with its bamboo finish, and will diffuse any essential oil of your choice into the air. For that friend that needs a little more zen in their life. 11. Brunette The Label Middle Sister Brunette Sweatshirt $84.00 I’m actually currently wearing this; it is THE best. Slightly oversized, features a raw hem, and it’s fleece lined, so suuuuper cozy. I barely have taken it off since I got it haha. Also comes in a few colors— this pale salmon color, as well as a pale pink, grey, and black. How cute would this be for twinning besties?! I totally want to get one for my blondie sister so we can match. 20. Carry-On Rosé Cocktail Kit $25.00 How fun for your jet setting bff?! Or for anyone wanting to jazz up a flight. It comes with all the fixings for a rosé cocktail (which low key sounds really delicious): small-batch elderflower cocktail syrup, 0.5-oz. jigger, bar spoon, linen coaster, and gummy bear chasers. Just add bubbly! I also love the little tin case it comes in— perfect for throwing into a travel tote. 15. OUAI Rose Hair + Body Oil $32.00 This OUAI multipurpose oil sounds soooo good… I’m all about convenience, and I love that you can use this nutrient-rich rose hip and absinthium oil on both your hair (for shine) and skin (for softeness). Hail oils are one of my fave things ever, and I personally loooove getting beauty products as gifts. I have a feeling this smells amazing 🙂 You can shop all of my gift picks below!
