Bed Head TIGI Festival Hair Inspo in Health & Beauty, Life on 08/03/17Hellooo my chiquitas! I am SO excited to be sharing this post with you guys; I’ve got a tooon of new hair products I can’t wait to tell you about (and trust, you need for summer), I’m sharing my go to festival hair look, and I’m talking about Lollapalooza and a super cool Bed Head event going over at Chicago’s Hard Rock hotel this coming Friday and Saturday (4th & 5th)! Lollapalooza does and will always hold a near and dear place to my heart; I went to the infamous Chicago music festival for most of high school and a few summers into my college years and just absolutely loved it. It was always hot, it was always muddy, and one year we literally got rained out due to thunderstorms and were instructed to go take cover in nearby parking garages, but it was always a weekend I looked forward to alllll year. I haven’t gone the past two years and definitely always get crazy fomo! (Especially when the line up is as good as it is this year!) It’s just kinda gotten to a point where I want to spend the money on different things and have new experiences; I went to Coachella last year and will be heading back to the desert again this April, and it could not have been more different than Lolla. So, overall very cool and worth passing on it this year (ah, this must be what growing up is guys). Over the years I’ve sported various hair styles at Lollapalooza; I’ve done my attempt at fancy braids, I’ve done a good old fashion high bun, but my all time favorite way to wear my hair to music festivals is what I kind of view as a major exaggeration of my hair in its natural state. My hair is naturally thick, wavy, and prone to crazy knots haha, but if I let it air dry and don’t comb through it, it resembles this! I love this look because it’s simple, easy and low maintenance, and looks amazing on everyone (I think everyone looks so pretty with their hair like this!) Rocking your hair down and beachy and messy to me means fully getting into that festival mode, being dirty, sweaty, a lil sun kissed, and just vibing to music you love. This look took me just minutes to do and I guarantee there is no way anyone could mess it up! Unlike braids, my kryptonite. I had washed my hair the night before and just wanted to kind of just rough up my roots and add a bit of body to my hair, so I sprayed some Bed Head Oh Bee Hive! Matt Dry Shampoo onto my ends. Dry shampoo is seriously a godsend for music festivals; I always bring some with me! I love this one in particular because it smells. so. GOOD. I’ve never tried one that smelled like anything other than baby powder haha. Next, I moved onto the holy grail of getting those perfect summer beach waves. I used Bed Head Queen Beach Salt Infused Texture Spray all throughout my hair, gave my hair a flip and a shake, and then just scrunched it up with my fingers. Finish with the Masterpiece Shine Hairspray to hold in place! Worth mentioning again that these products also smell phenomenal. The beach spray is what I could only describe as tropical, with heavy floral and orange notes. Bonus that the hairspray is the perfect amount of hold and adds shine to your hair vs making it look dull and feel sticky. I told you guys there were a ton of products I wanted to talk to you about! Just wait, the full gang is just down below… To compliment your no fuss festival beach waves, I recommend the Beachin’ Cleansing Jelly Shampoo, and the After-Sun conditioner, because anyone heading to Lolla or most other music festivals will inevitably be getting a toooon of sun exposure. The conditioner is packed with aloe vera, UV complex and vitamin E, and is color friendly. Masterpiece – Shine hairspray for hold and shimmer! Queen Beach Salt Spray – Balinese sea salt for mermaid texture Oh Bee Hive – Absorb oil from hair and add some bounce Superstar Queen for a Day – A thickening spray that adds volume and body Head Rush – “Shine adrenaline.” Get Twisted (not yet in stores) Everything listed can be purchased at Ulta Beauty. Lastly!! To all my Chicago ladies or to any friends who may be in town for the weekend: Come check out Bed Head hotel this Friday and Saturday from 12-6; I’ll be hanging at the Hard Rock in River North (230 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60601) and getting in on all the festival fun. Come swing by before your shows start and enjoy a Bed Head style bar, DJ, artist demos, makeup and mani touch ups, food, drinks, and other cool stuff. Thank you to Bed Head TIGI and Her Campus Media for sponsoring this post!
