Dottie Couture Charcoal Terry Lace Up Top in Spring, Style, Summer on 06/22/17 Happy Friday Jr. friends, and happy official start of summer! We have been having killer weather in Chicago and I’ve been definitely been taking advantage of it—stocking up on lots of fun, summery pieces, hanging by the pool, and hitting up my fave patios for post-work drinks. I knew I had to get my hands on this Charcoal Terry Lace-Up Top ($38) by Dottie Couture the moment I saw it! The little rope-esque lace up detail gives me all the nautical feels, and I knew it would look great with everything from white jeans to denim cut offs and white sneakers. It’s super comfy, soft and slightly oversized; I love that the dark, heather grey gives it a more laid-back and worn-in feel. I’ll be up at my cottage in Muskoka, northern Ontario, in the next coming weeks and can’t wait to rock it; I love keeping my outfits casual and no-fuss when I’m up there, so I will probably end up throwing this on over bathing suits and pair with cozy sweatpants at night. Also, how perfect would it be for a 4th of July inspired look?! Just add denim, some pops of red, stripes, or stars and you’re good to go. This under $100 blush pink bucket bag by Hieleven has proven to be one of my all time favorite pieces for the summer. I got it in mid-Spring when it was still pretty cold and gloomy, and now that the sun is officially out to play, this bag has been coming with me everywhere! It’s structured and has a great shape to it— I love that you can fit a ton in it and easily find your things (can’t tell you how easily I lose my keys, wallet, phone etc. whenever I carry my big satchel bag!) The color is also theee best; it’s the prettiest, softest, muted shade of blush which I promise acts just like a neutral. It. goes. with. everything.
