Floral Lace Garden Party Dress in Spring, Style, Summer on 05/23/17 Dress // Pumps // Bag // Bangle Hello sweet friends, happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing this super girly, lacy, embroidered floral dress that I wore to my boyfriend’s sister’s wedding in Palm Desert last weekend. I was really in need of a new spring/summer “dressy” dress, (I’m pretty sure most of my closet is filled with clothes that don’t fit me anymore or are no longer my style), and needed to find something for the rehearsal. I of course left the shopping trip until the very last possible minute, ha. I found it half hidden in a corner at Nordstrom’s, saw it was only $160, and was sold! This dress was perfect for the desert in May; it was super hot during the earlier part of the evening, so I wanted to rock something light and not too constricting (this fit the bill perfectly!). Asides from that, it was incredibly flattering (I’m 5’5 and wearing a 4p for reference), and it also is just SO pretty! I love the more structured look to this dress; it has a lot of really gorgeous detailing on the cap-sleeves and trim. I loved the red roses with the green stems embroidered all over; they were just so lovely up close, and complimented the nude underlay perfectly. I wanted to let the dress speak for itself, so I kept things simple with my Cole Haan go to nude patent pumps, which I actually wear for work all the time because they’re so comfy haha. But they are definitely very versatile, so perfect for weddings in addition to the office. They run true to size and are only $100, but great quality. Playing along with the kind of rosy nude tone under the flowers, I wore my neutral Gucci Soho cross-body, and then added a fun, bright cherry red lip- “Lady Danger,” my all time fave red by Mac. It has more orangey, coral undertones in it, which worked well with the vibrant colors in the dress. Shop the look: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser.
