Peplum x Olive & Blush in Spring on 03/29/17 Happy Tuesday, people! Having a hard time accepting that it’s only Tuesday; I’ve had thee worst cough for over a week and I am literally getting no sleep because I’m up all night coughing. Which means Francis is up all night listening to me, sry babe! Also, since I was out of town, I don’t have anything in my fridge. I went down to the Whole Foods in my building, yes u heard right, and yes it is indeed very dangerous to my wallet, to get some yogurt, and for the first time in my life locked myself out of my apartment. Just left the damn keys on the counter and had to have maintenance let me back in. They don’t charge you the first time but I was suuuper embarrassed having to go down to the front desk and report it at 7:30 am… So yeah, it’s been one of those weeks. On a more fun note. Olive green and blush pink is officially my favorite color combo right now. I have been having such a moment with these shoes; they go with EVERYTHING! And are super comfy and give off a great sporty, casual vibe. I am currently wearing them with my fleecy camo pullover, and dare I say, they are a match made in heaven. Olive green a long time favorite shade of mine, and I feel like I’ve been seeing so many fab pieces in it recently. This shirt is definitely one of them; the little peplum detail is super cute and subtle. I don’t love how I look in a super dramatic peplum! It’s also under $15, grab it here. So, I really love this jacket!! Once upon a time before I was a freshman in college, I probably wouldn’t be caught dead wearing one. However, when I came home for the summer, I ended up borrowing my mom’s on a consistent basis for a few years… Until she permanently took it back at the beginning of the summer. We were on vacation back in July in London. I asked to borrow it. She said no. It took me some time, but I finally snagged myself my own. I think it’s almost identical to my mom’s too ha. Anyway, I think a good denim jacket is such a must have in any wardrobe. They are so versatile and such a classic look. Back in my preppier days I lived for rocking them with colored skinny pants or brightly printed shorts. Now, I love them in the summer time, over a white lace dress with cognac sandals, and in the spring time with white jeans! These white jeans have the perfect rips and are soo flattering. Yes, they are on the pricier end of the denim spectrum; however, I am a firm believer in the power of quality jeans! There are more affordable denim brands that I absolutely adore, like helloooo BlankNYC, but I also have been a longtime fan of Paige. I think they offer a really high quality product that looks good and lasts. I will buy a pair of pricier jeans like this maybe twice a year. Also rocking some of my fave accessories in this look! Slip on sneakers have more of less changed my life in recent years, and I wanna buy them all. I also reaaally want a pair of cute mule loafers, and new espadrilles… It hurts to be a shoe addict, yeet. These blush ones are super muted but still give off the perfect pop of color if you’re more of a neutral girl, which safe to say I am these days. If you scroll back through my Insta (dear God I promise that I would never ask that of you), it wasn’t always the case; I always have a very bright feed haha. So. Call me Blonde in Blush from now on guys hahahaha. (Serious q, am I funny? Pls respond in comments.) My favorite little daisy choker from Ashley Bridget is currently on sale for $24! It has been my go to piece lately; I love that it offers just a hint of glam! Also, because it’s a choker and sits higher on the neck, it can be seen with almost every neckline. I love how it looks just popping out of a crew-neck like this tee. You can shop the rest of my accessories below: As always, thanks for reading! And if anyone else is having one of those weeks.. let’s get through this together! Sending positive vibes all around!
