Instagram Roundup: Favorite Fall Looks in Fall, Style on 10/19/16Hey guys, happy humpday! Is it just me or does time really start to fly the older you get? I can’t believe my college graduation was FIVE months ago and today is my three month work-anniversary, (if that’s a thing). Life feels pretty crazy right now- good, but crazy. These past few months have definitely been an adjustment period. Living back home in a city I just spent four years away from has definitely been interesting. I’m also living at home to save some money, so I’m also getting readjusted to being constantly around my parents. It helps that I can predominately stay at my boyfriend’s place and just come back to my house in the mornings to work. What has been really strange for me is being at home, in my suburb, right around the corner from my high school, seeing all the kids come and go. Because I work from home for my job… I’m always at home. And sitting at my kitchen counter all day sometimes makes me wonder if the past four years of my life were just a dream and never happened and I’m still in high school, sitting at the kitchen counter doing my homework. Okay just kidding. But it does feel like things have eerily come full circle. Ultimately though, the good news is that everything is of course so, so different than it was when I was in high school. I’m a full four years older, happy with the person I’ve become, and so fortunate to have a great job, the best support system, and a life filled with things that make me happy. There’s definitely a lot I still need to figure out during this kind of strange and awkward starting my life phase, but overall, things are good, and I am happy. One of the many blessings of being able to work from home is that I don’t have to comply with any kind of dress code. If I want to wear my pajamas then I will goddamn wear my pajamas (which I will sadly say happens more than I’m proud to admit). BUT it also means that corporate America isn’t getting in the way of me getting to express myself with clothes and fashion, which I very very much love doing! Today, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite fall looks that I’ve only showcased on Instagram. I’m all about wearing whatever is easy and cute, and comfy and cozy. Especially now that the temps are finally dropping! Okay, I seriously CANNOT get enough of this sweater! I’ve seen similar lace-up styles all over insta recently and knew I needed to get my hands on one. The lace-up detail is super cute and the bell sleeves are so fun! It’s the perfect length too; it hits me right at the top of my jeans. It’s also really flattering and unlike most sweaters, will actually give you a shape. The best part is it’s super budget friendly, just under $30! These Joe’s jeans are also awesome. They’re very stretchy but are still thick, structured, classic denim. They have the perfect amount of rips to them too- nothing over the top that’s gonna make your grandma ask why you would pay money for pants with holes in them. These Karen Walker sunnies are an all time fave of mine, I’m constantly wearing them! They are definitely oversized and pretty roundly shaped; I’d suggest trying them on in a store if you can! You can also shop my booties (in a different color combo) here and another fave pair of mine here. This dress!!!!! Ugh, I die. It’s just so dang cute! I own approximately 9,000 flannels and am always finding new ways to incorporate more plaid into my wardrobe… This burgundy dress is only $61 too! Such a steal. It looks super cute with booties, flats, tall boots, really anything goes. I paired it with my Joie fur scarf, which I loooove. It’s so cozy, I actually was wearing it around my house yesterday and started sweating because it’s so warm haha. But for outside fall weather, it’s absolutely perfect. My boots are by Cole Haan, made seasons ago, so I’ve linked another brown pair of boots that I have my eye on here. Yay for more cozy sweaters and these Joe’s jeans!! I have been eyeing this Louis Vuitton scarf for the longest time and am so glad I finally got it! It has this really pretty kind of blue-silver hue to it, and it’s reversible! One side is more like a denim color, the other is this light blue. It’s definitely more of a splurge item but I think it’s just so timeless and classic! It’ll definitely be heavily utilized this season. You can shop a similar version of my Kate Spade bag here and my fun blue aviators here! My Roots Canada boots are old, but I’ve linked a very similar pair here (the color is different but the shape is pretty spot on, which is my fave part about these boots anyway). I love this look! Wearing white after Labor Day is so a thing. These white J. Brand jeans are my favorite pair of white jeans that I’ve ever owned! They’re slightly high-rise, slightly stretchy, and VERY flattering. I love wearing them with chunky, oversized sweaters during cooler months in addition to fun and bright tops over the summer. This gingham top has short sleeves and is only $10.99! I’ve hopped on the overly long cardigan trend to pull this whole look together and make it more fall-y. Booties and my chestnut colored Chloe bag were the perfect finishing touches! Who doesn’t love a good leather jacket (vegan leather version linked here) or a good blanket scarf?! This was a simple throw-together outfit for running around town on a Sunday. I pair it with leggings for comfort, and studded booties for a little edge! I also fishtail braided my hair, it’s my fave way to style my hair whenever I’m wearing a bulky scarf. You can shop more blanket scarves here, here, and here. I’ve linked another leather jacket here and my bag here! This fur vest is one of the best pieces I’ve ever purchased. I feel like I’ve spent years searching for the perfect fur vest, so when I finally got my hands on this one I could not be more thrilled. It’s so cozy, so soft, goes with everything. I love wearing it with flannels. To me it is like the epitome of fall! Everyone should have one. Sometimes faux fur is the better option though, and fortunately there are tons of cute ones out there, like this one and this one. These black wax pants are by Madewell, my second pair over the years. They come out with them every fall! They are super flattering and give off the perfect amount of shine. They run big so be sure to size down. You can also shop my Baublebar choker here, dupes of my bag here and here, and my Tory Burch boots here! I’ve also linked a more budget friendly black riding boot option here. Xo, Meghan
