Overalls Are For Saturdays

You guys have nooo idea how good it feels to be back blogging… Although I’ve been able to keep up on Instagram, the past few weeks have been beyond insane and have kept me too busy to do any posting on this little domain of which I pay $12 a month to perpetuate its existence. It’s like there’s been this little voice constantly in the back of my head saying “bloooog me, blooog me!!”

But, I’m officially a working girl, like 8-5, 5 days a week working girl. And despite going into the field of consulting, the project I’ve been assigned to is actually based in Chicago, an internal program within the company I work for. Aaaand the team predominately all works from home, so I’ve only actually been into the office a couple of times so far. Still, I’m on calls and doing random little tasks all day and in my now much treasured down time, I’m always so tired and kinda wanna do nothing… So it’s looking like keeping up with the blog may be somewhat of a challenge but I’m gonna try and do my best! I honestly love having this little creative space in my life, so at the end of the day it’s so worth it!

I wore this super easy and casual look to meet one of my good friends downtown for lunch. We both work for the same company full time now but met as interns at a leadership retreat last summer, so we’ve actually spent very little time together in the same city. Luckily she was in town to do the training that I just finished up with last week!

I am beyond obsessed with these overalls and SO glad the trend is here to stay… At least I think it is, I may just be deciding that. I’ve recently been struggling with figuring out how to style these if I’m being honest, I’ve been trying out a couple different looks but I think my fave way to wear overalls is definitely dressed down, super casual and super easy. I added a baseball cap and white converse to make things a lil ~sporty~ and then added by brand new most prized possession I have eveeeer owned (my Chloe marcie bag). Seriously, I think I love this bag more than I have ever loved everything. I also found some pretty solid affordable dupes of it, linked here and here.
